Hotel Gounod Fully Renovated - Nice

Wonderfully clean and spacious rooms! Gounod's location means you can easily stroll to the beach or enjoy local restaurants.

Poor service tends to detract from the experience! The outdated furnishings and unresponsive staff could leave guests feeling frustrated.

The beautiful hotel in Nice is sadly marred by dismal service, I mean, how hard is it to keep a fridge cold enough for dog food? Unbelievable. Then, I nearly walked out with a coffee only to be blocked and berated as if I was some sort of criminal. I almost thought of giving a good review, but just couldn't!

The hotel’s chic redesign is impressive, and the staff, especially Frida, were welcoming and attentive. The location was perfect for exploring Nice, being close to restaurants and the beach. The air conditioning left a bit to be desired, making it a bit uncomfortable during the hotter nights.

Charming stay with a dash of adventure

Had a nice 2-night stay! The room was spacious and had a lovely balcony for morning coffee. Staff were super friendly and helped us find cute local spots. Breakfast at the bar/lounge was a nice touch. Loved the accessibility to the tram and city!

The gounod is located in a super chill area, perfect for wandering to shops and eateries. Staff were always friendly, helping with tips, and the breakfast spread was fab with loads of options to fuel up for the day.

The historic architecture is charming, seamlessly blending with the local style, and the entrance feels cute. The rooftop pool access at the neighboring hotel is a sweet perk, giving a great view of the city while you relax, even if it's closed during the winter months.

Had issues with room allocation upon check-in. Outdated furnishings could really use an upgrade. My bathroom featured no shower curtain, resulting in water pooling everywhere, and there were inconsistent temperatures with the AC. The breakfast pricing at 14 euros per person seemed steep, and I encountered minor cleanliness concerns. The bathrooms have not been modernized, which contributed to an unrefined feel.

The atmosphere was very inviting, especially in the

Lobby area where we had some lovely chats with staff. They offered great recommendations for local dining. The air conditioning in our room was underwhelming for the summer heat was nice.

The gounod hotel was great with its beautifully renovated rooms and comfortable beds. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and local shops. I especially loved the charming design and the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing balcony morning coffee.

Just a good pick for one night in Nice with attractive and competitive value for money. The staff were friendly and quick to offer any assistance we needed. Make sure to check the fridge in the room before unpacking.

Can recommend for overnight stay

Comfortable room, good breakfast, with excellent proximity to public transport options, making it easy to explore various attractions around the area.

Can't fault anything about it.

The fridge temperature was inadequate for my dog's food, while the room's balcony was enjoyable.
